Coupon Queen
We've blogged about this before - how Emily gotten into the world of couponing and deal shopping and actually begun dominating this way of life. Last night, however, sealed the deal. Emily is the Coupon Queen of the entire universe. I told her that I was going to do breakfast with a guy from church […]

More birthday fun
Emily's parents, Wade and Sharon, came down to spend the weekend and the birthday fun continued. If I tell you the lineup of restaurants, it's pretty embarrassing, but we really did eat pretty much all weekend long…a good variety of lots of good food. (Hence my run today.) We also watched a ton of Olympics […]

Weekend at the Westin
Emily's birthday is coming up on Tuesday (Aug 19) so I decided we should celebrate a bit early and head downtown for the night. I got a great rate on a room at the Westin through Hotwire (so far we are 2 for 2 on Hotwire) and surprised Emily with the plans.
We ate fabulous dinner […]

Asado
So, it's been a while, eh? June 30th since our last post. Oh well…rather than a bunch of lame excuses and promises of more posts, I'm just gonna pretend nothing happened. (Tina, this is for you)
Tonight we hosted our International Dinner Club at our place and had an asado with 13 people. Emily is […]

1/2 pint sour cream
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Stick Fire
Sometimes date night on a strict budget means stick fires. Tonight Emily and I made a fire out of some random sticks in the yard and roasted marshmallows out on the deck. Good times.
Emily also made cinnamon rolls for me to take to work tomorrow. They look (and tasted!) fantastic. Get on her good […]

The Most Amazing Night of the Year
Mike and I have put out a request to many of our Columbus area friends and believers for help for a refugee family that he knows. They told him of a young girl in their family who is to have her baby any time now, and they have nothing (NOTHING) for the baby. They are […]

Success!
Tonight Emily and I finished our project of adding some element of shade to our deck. The material is straight from Argentina and is called media sombra, or half-shade. Half-shade is definitely better than no shade! Anyway, we are pretty pleased with our work. Check it out.
We also had a fantastic time tonight […]

Mmmm!
Friday night we had small group and Emily made an amazing cake to share with everyone.
