Asado
So, it's been a while, eh? June 30th since our last post. Oh well…rather than a bunch of lame excuses and promises of more posts, I'm just gonna pretend nothing happened. (Tina, this is for you)
Tonight we hosted our International Dinner Club at our place and had an asado with 13 people. Emily is […]

Mexico City
Emily and I finally have a destination. After months of planning and praying about ministry in Argentina, God has led us to the decision that Mexico City will be our destination. To make it official we signed the agreement with GBIM last Thursday. Tentative date of departure is Fall 2009, but that will depend on […]

The Most Amazing Night of the Year
Mike and I have put out a request to many of our Columbus area friends and believers for help for a refugee family that he knows. They told him of a young girl in their family who is to have her baby any time now, and they have nothing (NOTHING) for the baby. They are […]

Success!
Tonight Emily and I finished our project of adding some element of shade to our deck. The material is straight from Argentina and is called media sombra, or half-shade. Half-shade is definitely better than no shade! Anyway, we are pretty pleased with our work. Check it out.

German Coast Guard
Yesterday we attended On-Mission Training, a day long series of workshops put on by GBIM with the purpose of mobilizing everyone in the FGBC to be tangibly involved in reaching the nations. We attended workshops by Dave Guiles (Celebrating Ethnicity: God’s plan for the nations), Dan Green (Reaching the Nations in your Community), Dave Goldmann […]

People: The forgotten side of the immigration debate
Given my work and some different ministries that I'm involved with as a part of our church I often have the chance to meet and interact with peoples from different walks of life and different parts of the world. I am always stuck by their stories. Stories of their previous lives in their countries, stories […]

I would
This weekend we went to Chicago and visited Greg and Lauren (yay!) and had a great time. It ended with a Sun nite stay downtown. And, my most favorite part was… the wind that nearly blew my face off. No, it wasn't that. It was the Ghiradelli's hot cocoa that […]
