Welcome to MikeandEmily.net, the place on the web to keep track of the McCamans.
Emily was born in Columbus, OH in 1982. Soon after, her family relocated to Wayne County, where she grew up in the Rittman/Orrville area. When she was in Jr. High her family joined Wooster Grace Brethren Church, where she had the opportunity to participate in missions trips to Canada, Mexico and Cambodia. Through her high school she was also able to travel to Puerto Rico and Haiti. After high school she enrolled at Grace College, where she majored in Social Work, and also had the opportunity to travel to Argentina.
Mike was born in Conrad, MT in 1982, but also lived in Warsaw, IN (6 years) and McAllen, TX (1 year) before his family joined the Grace Brethren International Missions team in Argentina when he was 11. Growing up in Argentina allowed Mike to become fluent in the Spanish language, as well as Argentine culture. After graduating from high school in Argentina, Mike also enrolled at Grace College where he majored in Biblical Studies and minored in Intercultural Missions.
We met at Grace College and began dating in the fall of 2004. After graduation we each pursued internships in Argentina with GBIM. Emily attended language school in McAllen, TX for a semester and then joined the Buenos Aires missionary team for 6 months. Mike lived in the town of Venado Tuerto, Argentina (literally, One Eyed Deer) and took part in a church plant as a tentmaker.
We were married on September 23, 2006 and now reside in Columbus, OH. Emily works for Powell Dental Group and does English and Spanish tutoring, while Mike is the ESOL & Employability Services Program Manager for CRIS, a non-profit organization working with refugees.
We are currently preparing to head to Mexico City to be involved with church planting efforts there. We are a part of the Powell Grace Grace Brethren Church, where we are active in our Grace (small) Group, help to lead a youth Grace Group and are involved with Grace Clinic, the church's free medical clinic.

We’re glad you made it safely but already miss you! I hope you weren’t waiting at the airport forever without calling us?!?!? The posted photos look great and I love your new flash! We hope you have a wonderful, safe and relaxing trip and give your family hugs for us! If they’re anything as wonderful as you, we already love them too! Merry Christmas! P.S.
