I just looked at my "This Day in Sports" calendar on my desk and wouldn't you know, it's Ken Griffey Jr.'s birthday today (It's also Stan Musial, Earl Monroe, Troy Aikman and Michael Strahan's). What surprised me, though, was Griffey's year of birth: 1969. 
The "kid" turns 39 today. I feel old.

All year long, Javon Ringer from Michigan State has been hyped as the best running back in the land. Shonn Greene, on the other hand has gotten little to no attention. After 11 games here are their numbers:

I got up at 8 this morning intending to rake the millions of leaves covering our yard. Seriously, it's bad. You can't see grass anywhere. I usually wait till they all fall anyway. There's nothing worse than raking 2 or 3 times. My plan was to rake in the morning and then watch the Iowa-Purdue [...]
